Meet the Therapist

Chloe Schroeder, LCSW

The name Summit Counseling Services reflects my belief in the strength and peace we find on our journey upward. Mountains symbolize resilience, growth, and the sense of success that comes from seeing how far we’ve come. My goal is to support you as you work toward your own personal summit.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a graduate of Fordham University. I’m trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). These evidence-based approaches guide my work in helping clients navigate various challenges.

I offer therapy for children, teens, and adults, and will be welcoming in-person treatment in April 2026. I provide a supportive space where you can share your experiences and develop new skills. Whether you’re working through trauma, anxiety, or life’s everyday stressors, I’m here to listen, support, and help you grow.

Please reach out for a free 15-minute consultation!

While I support clients through a wide range of life challenges, my primary focus is using EMDR to help individuals heal from:

  • birth trauma

  • pregnancy or infant loss

  • identity shifts in motherhood

Depression, Anxiety, & OCD

  • panic symptoms

  • major depression

Grief/Loss & Trauma

  • distressing past or recent experiences that continue to impact the present

You deserve support that feels steady, compassionate, and effective. I look forward to meeting you soon.

FAQs

How often should I come to counseling?

1

Treatment generally begins with weekly sessions. As we move forward, we’ll reassess and establish a cadence that best fits your needs and goals.

How do I get started?

2

Getting started is simple. Reach out through the contact form or schedule a call, and we’ll go through the next steps and answer any questions.

Will we meet in-person or online?

3

We can meet in person or virtually; whichever feels most comfortable for you. My office is located in Chemung County, NY. For virtual sessions, I simply ask that you or any child/teen particpating have access to a private space to support the best therapeutic experience.

Can I see you outside of NY or PA?

4

Because of state licensing requirements, I can only work with individuals who are located in the states where I am currently licensed to practice.
