Understanding EMDR Therapy
If you’ve been through something painful or distressing, you may have noticed that certain memories or feelings still feel “stuck,” no matter how much time has passed. EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a gentle, evidence-based approach that helps your brain and body heal from those experiences so you can move forward with more peace and confidence.
How EMDR Can Help
When something overwhelming happens, your brain sometimes isn’t able to fully process it at the time. As a result, reminders of that event can continue to trigger strong emotional or physical reactions. EMDR helps your brain finish what it started, allowing those memories to be processed and stored in a healthier way.
Over time, the emotional charge of those memories softens. You can still remember what happened, but it no longer feels as painful.
What EMDR Sessions Are Like
During EMDR, you’ll work with me to focus on specific memories or feelings while engaging in bilateral stimulation (like gentle eye movements, tapping, or sounds). This process helps your brain reprocess the memory naturally and safely.
You are always in control of the pace, and I will guide you with care and grounding tools so that you feel supported every step of the way.
EMDR Can Be Helpful For:
Trauma and post-traumatic stress (PTSD)
Anxiety, panic, and phobias
Grief and loss
Relationship or attachment wounds
Negative self-beliefs or shame
Chronic pain and stress
Healing Is Possible
You don’t have to keep reliving the past or feeling controlled by old pain. EMDR therapy can help you reconnect with your sense of safety, strength, and hope — allowing you to create a life that feels more grounded and free.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
CBT is based on the idea that our thoughts influence how we feel and act. Sometimes, our minds fall into habits of worry, self-criticism, or fear that keep us feeling stuck. In CBT, you’ll learn tools to recognize unhelpful thoughts and replace them with ones that are more realistic and compassionate.
Together, we’ll explore what’s getting in the way, experiment with new ways of thinking, and practice small behavioral changes that create meaningful improvements in your daily life.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
DBT helps you find balance. Between accepting yourself as you are and making positive changes to create the life you want. It’s a supportive, skills-based approach that focuses on building mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and healthy communication. Together, we’ll work on understanding your emotions, learning new coping strategies, and improving relationships so you can feel more grounded, in control, and connected.
